Thane Krios - Biro Portrait

I've never really drawn a portrait before, mostly because I'm not great at drawing human faces. But I really wanted to make a portrait without being afraid that I'd mess it up. The solution? Draw an alien, of course! And Thane was a natural choice, because I'm still deep in a Mass Effect phase. Plus, his face has all those intricate plates and scales and sections that were easier and more fun to draw than plain human skin - drell are beautiful. Honestly, I think their design is the best of any alien species I've ever encountered in a work of fiction, ever. And perhaps most importantly, he's, well, Thane. How could I not draw someone as awesome as him? Especially when it gave me a chance to use that quote in the description...

I'm now working on a series of these... hopefully I'll eventually do the full squad.
