Description
By the time I reached Freedom’s Progress in Mass Effect 2, I thought most of the combat features were the same as Mass Effect 1. Big mistake. When I pressed the ‘B’ button which always replaced my gun in ME1, I found out that it was now the melee attack button. It took me some time to realise the button I should be pressing was ‘back.’ Still, no harm done, and you’d think I’d remember that, wouldn’t you?
Of course not. This is me we’re talking about. Some time later, I decided to start a second ME1 playthrough. Smiling at the nostalgia, I battled my way through Eden Prime, and eventually decided to put my gun away. I pressed ‘back’ – and was quickly notified of my mistake by a violent explosion. Of course, ‘back’ in ME1 is the grenade thrower button. Fortunately, come ME3, Bioware removed the ability to holster weapons entirely, probably for the sake of idiots like me.
Mind you, from an RPing perspective, accidentally throwing grenades around is not so out of character for my MaleShep. He has the attention span of a goldfish and the suicidal overconfidence of Niftu Cal. His squad often feel more like his babysitters than his subordinates… and they’d probably make their jobs easier if they just took all his grenades away.

I don't know how many times I've switched back and forth and mixed up the controls.
Fantastic job as always!
